Degrees & Structure

In our Pyramid, the 90 Degrees of Mizraim and the 92 Degrees of Memphis are integrated, encapsulating the entirety of Masonic Doctrine through a structure. The Masonic Series comprises the first 30 degrees, divided into two categories: Symbolic and Philosophic.

The Symbolic Class, or Blue Lodge, consists of the First Work Zone, conveyed through the Laboratories or Chambers within Lodges and Triangles.

  • 1° Apprentice of the Art.

  • 2° Companion of the Art.

  • 3° Master Mason of the Art.

The following four degrees are grouped under symbolic names that reflect the inner subjects and actions to be explored.

The Philosophic Classes include:

  • 4° to 7°, College of the Sublime Masters of the Arch of Perfection.

  • 8° to 11°, the Synod of the Knights of the Sword, Perfect Masons of Heredom
(11° being the degree of the R+C Knight).

  • 12° to 17°, the Chapter of Knights|Dames of the Sun, Sages of Truth - Hermetic Philosophers.

  • 18° to 30°, the Council of Commanders of the Stars - Patriarchs|Matriarchs of Truth.

At the 8° and 11° degrees, the seeker attempts to navigate the waters, with the potential to cross the bridge between two banks or to be lost within the currents.

After traversing the waters at the 12° to 17°, the seeker confronts the Alchemical path, followed by the Astrological and Kabbalistic path at 18° to 30° degrees.

The Illuminating Series consists of four organizations and degrees:

  • THE SUBLIME CONSISTORIUM of the Sublime Masters of the Great Work (30° to 90°).

  • THE GRAND TRIBUNAL of the Defenders of the Rite (31° to 90° and 91°).

  • THE GRAND LITURGICAL COLLEGE of the Knights|Dames Filalete, Magicians of the R+. C32° to 90° and 92°).

  • THE SUBLIME MYSTICAL TEMPLE of Prince|Princess Patriarch|Matriarch of Memphis (32° to 90° and 94°).

  • THE GRAND SANCTUARY of Patriarch|Matriarch Conservators of the Rite (33° to 90° and 95°).

t the 30° to 90° degrees, the seeker begins to harmonize Elemental Powers with higher Macrocosmic forces. The Sanctum Rite, which influences Astral fields, supports the seeker by activating channels that elevate "Fides" and lower "Virtus," as described in the Emerald Tablet. This convergence of Microcosmos and Macrocosmos emphasizes the need for humility and caution to better grasp the interplay between the visible and invisible realms.

ARCANA ARCANORUM - Scale of Naples (1777):

  • Sublime Prince|Princess, Regulators of the Knights of the Key, including theurgical-operating ritual.

  • Sublime Pontiff, Grand Elect of the Sacred Court, including theurgical-operative ritual.

  • Grand Elect of the Mystic City, Grand Councilor of the Temple, including theurgical-operative ritual.

  • Sublime Patriarch, Master of the Great Work, including theurgical-operative ritual.

Historical Notes: The Corpus Rituale Arcana Arcanorum was compiled by some of Italy's most eminent Initiates in 1700s Naples, including Prince Raimondo di Sangro, his son Vincenzo, Count of Cagliostro, Claude Henry Theodor Baron Tschudy, and others. This Ritual Corpus stands apart from English-influenced or "Scottish" Blue Freemasonry. Documents reveal that Prince Raimondo di Sangro allowed Master Masons to engage with the Arcana Arcanorum following the completion of specific degrees

Two administrative degrees correspond to:

  • National Grand Hierophant - Grand Commander (33° to 90° and 96°).

  • Sovereign Grand Hierophant - Sovereign Grand Master (33° to 90° and 97°), who maintains the sovereignty of the Rite.

The activities of all Chambers and Chapters of the Ancient and Sovereign Egyptian Rite of Mizraim and Memphis are conducted in honor of the Sublime Maker of the Worlds and under the guidance of the Sovereign Grand Sanctuary of Ionian, the Supreme Force of the Order and the Rite across both hemispheres.

Each nation is overseen by its own National Sanctuary. Through the Rite, the higher dimension can influence the lower one, and vice versa. Therefore, it is crucial for practitioners of the Rite to possess the original qualifications of legitimacy and authenticity that ensure these practices are upheld. The Rite's purpose is solely to promote the regeneration and spiritual reintegration of each individual Brother and Sister.

Regarding Religion: The Ancient and Sovereign Egyptian Rite of Mizraim & Memphis refrains from engaging in sociopolitical or religious discussions during its works, which is strictly forbidden in our Lodges. The Rite respects all religions and has no interest in politics. It is fundamental to the Rite that all events in the physical realm are initiated in the metaphysical world. Thus, nothing manifests physically without prior formation beyond the Veil. For us, God is one, recognized under various names, which is why we equally all religions. One of the core principles of the Ancient and Sovereign Egyptian Rite of Mizraim and Memphis is that God embodies Truth and exists universally, accessible to humans through inner work.
