Historical Timeline of Lodges, Rites, and Lineages (Naples & Beyond)

1728 – Foundation of La Perfetta Unione in Naples.
1734 – Lodge goes dormant (Scottish).
1745 – Scottish Grand Lodge of Naples Lo Zelo founded under English obedience.
1747–1751 – Raimondo de Sangro’s lodge Rosa d’Ordine Magno (anagram of his name) active at Palazzo San Severo.
Oct 14, 1750 – Raimondo elevated in Posillipo (Lo Zelo) to Grand Master of the Kingdom of Naples & Sicily.
July 24, 1751 – Dec 21, 1764 – Rosa d’Ordine Magno moves to Palazzo dello Spagnuolo, Naples.
1777 – Perfetta Unione revived as Scottish; Vincenzo de Sangro references Arcana Arcanorum in a letter to Zante.
1790 – Death of Prince Vincenzo de Sangro (son of Raimondo, 1744–1790).
1791–1799 – Egyptian Rite of Cagliostro spread in Naples: Lodge I Figli della Libertà, GM Mario Pagano. Goes dormant in 1799.

1808–1860

1808 – Foundation of Lodge I Figli del Vesuvio (Torre Annunziata). Dormant 1821.
1810–1840 – Egyptian Rite of Cagliostro revived in Naples; GM Baron Lorenzo de Montemayor (1775–1840).
1814–1821 – Lodge I Figli della Sapienza active in Naples.
1818 – Rite of Misraim founded in France by Marco Bedarride (89 degrees).
1825–1860 – Misraim Grand Lodge of Naples (La Folgore) active.
1835–1860 – I Figli del Vesuvio revived (under Luigi Farina, physician of Torre Annunziata).
May 16, 1860 – Misraim from France goes dormant in Naples.
1860 – Garibaldi revives Memphis in Palermo; unites Memphis lodges in Italy.

1861–1910

Aug 3, 1861 – Lodge Venezia n. 1 revived in Misraim; becomes Egyptian Grand Orient of Misraim, Scala di Napoli.
1862 – Villa Lebano lodge founded (Tre Case, Naples province).
1864–1865 – Egyptian Rosicrucian Grand Chapter hosted in Naples.
1875–1908 – Activity around Villa Lebano continues.
1876 – Misraim Scala di Napoli reorganized under Giustiniano Lebano.
1881 – Unification of Memphis & Misraim in Italy under Garibaldi.
1885 – Giustiniano Lebano elevates his lodge to Egyptian Grand Orient of Misraim, Scala di Napoli, Arcana Arcanorum.
1910 – Death of Giustiniano Lebano; succession to his son-in-law, Dr. Giuseppe Cuccurullo (d. 1947).

1914–1950s

1914 – Rosa d’Ordine Magno reopened at Palazzo San Severo after death of Prince Michele Maria de Sangro (1824–1891). Directed by Duke Pasquale del Pezzo (1859–1936):
- Professor of Mathematics, Rector of Naples University, Senator of the Kingdom of Italy.
- 33° Scottish Mason (1906).
1912–1925 – Pasquale del Pezzo Venerable of lodge Raimondo de Sangro, residing at Palazzo San Severo.
1925 – Del Pezzo entrusts Antonio Ariano (1883–1956, his disciple) with secret archives from Villa Lebano to hide from Fascists.
1936 – Death of Pasquale del Pezzo.
1938–1942 – Antonio Ariano, Navy officer, captured in Egypt → prisoner in India (Calcutta) → returns 1942.
1943–45 – Antonio fights with Anglo-Italian Navy, participates in Four Days of Naples, Cassino, Florence, and Liberation of Genoa.
1945 – Enters Scottish lodge Riviera di Chiaia (Piazza del Gesù obedience); Venerable of GOI lodge at Ponte di Chiaia; Director of Navy commissary (as Captain).
1946 – Promoted 18°, Venerable of Egyptian lodge Il Graal, Naples.
1947 – Enters Martinism (La Fenice lodge, Naples).
1948 – Reaches 30° Scottish; Venerable of lodge Raimondo de Sangro, oversees restitution of Desamfriana archives from Villa Lebano to Palazzo San Severo.
1949 – Achieves 33°, 90°, 66°, 95° (Venice). Participates in reopening of San Severo Chapel as museum.
1956 – Death of Antonio Ariano.

1960s–1980s

1968 – Death of Vincenzo Gigante (last disciple of Lebano). His successor in Torre Annunziata: Nicola Ariano (1908–1989).

1977 – Nicola Ariano founds lodge G. Lebano in Boscoreale; installs secret Lebano archives at Palazzo dei Principi Ranieri (transferred 1979).

1986-1990 – Frater Ilthar initiated by uncle Nicola Ariano into the Currents (Frater Ilthar is the recipient of the Giustiniano Lebano Archives, Seals and furniture of the Villa Lebanon as well as we the Grand Master of the "Sovrano Ordine Egizio Osirideo" - " Scala di Napoli Misraim & Memphis"

2022–2025 - Frater Ilthar transmits, by initiation and operating work, the following to Frater Ptahhotep the Sovereign Grand Hierophant of the Sovereign Grand Sanctuary of Ionian, the following:

2022 – Frater Ilthar transmits by initiation the teachings of the Last Degree "Sovrano Ordine Egizio Osirideo" -
"Scala di Napoli Misraim & Memphis"
2022 – Frater Ilthar transmits by initiation the teachings of the First Degree of the Arcana Arcanorum.
2022 – Frater Ilthar transmits by initiation the teachings of the Last Degree "Ordine Martinista Napolitano".
2022 – Frater Ilthar transmits by initiation the teachings of the Rosa Crucis Antiqua
2025 – Frater Ilthar transmits the teachings of the Last Degree -IV of the Arcana Arcanorum
